Selling equipped items in dungeons

with one click I can sell equipped gear and 30 minutes of grinding. Selling items in inventory makes sense, but why would the game allow me to sell my own gear without at least a notification or an "are you sure?" screen

If something like that happens, go back to the main menu, don't sleep or teleport out (as it would save your game). Then, reload your game. You'll lose a bit of time (the time in the dungeon), but not your important equipment.
