Thanks for posting - while we have been able to modify the script not to generate rooms in these inaccessible areas, the sparkles are still going to appear, at least for some time. So, the bottom line is: you're not loosing any potential loot, it's just an effect that's being displayed. Sorry for the inconvenience!
