I swapped controllers, cables and USB ports but had the same problem... also I was NOT spamming when in the menu... the button just stopped working.
I've attempted with multiple weapons on Windows 10 with both Keyboard and Xbox 360 Gamepad, and I _can't_ make fast attacks while facing left. Weirdest bug I've ever seen.
I can make them in all other directions, and I can make heavy attacks left, but facing left and pressing the fast attack button does absolutely nothing.
Edit: This was fixed by leaving the dungeon. Not sure how I got into this state in the first place, though.
The first times, I reassigned the keys, but the last time, the game refused to recognize my left and right mouse button at all and it took some time until I could reassign.
Btw. my mouse is working fine, I alt-tabbed while I waited for the game to recognize my mouse again and outside of Moonlighter, I didn't have any problems.
What's even more confusing... just a couple of minutes after I was finally able to 'fix' my controlls again, still in the middle of the dungeon, I could not attack to the upside anymore.
The game is so lovely, but this bug occurs so regularly, that it kind of kills the fun. It's incredibly frustrating when you're in the middle of a fight. I really, really hope it gets fixed soon.
