controls stop responding ?
Hi everyone,

I am playing with a X box one controller and there is this issue happening to me.
Sometimes when I spam the attack button, Will will not attack, as if the button I'm pressing is not working.
It seems it happens when I spam because I need to stop completely and then when I press A again it works.
It is a bit annoying, and I never experienced anything like this on other game (plus the controller is fairly new/not broken) so I decided to do some tests and see if I can replicate it easily or not. I switch to my 360 controller it looks like it is the same.

During the test I also tried all the other buttons. I was in my shop and started spamming everything and then the Y button stoped responding. I couldn't open my inventory and both my controller weren't working. I had to go outside the shop and then I could use the Y button.
That's the only reason I suspect there is an issue within the game.

Is it happening to you guys as well ? Or is just me ?
It is too bad it is causing issue especially in the dungeons when sometimes I don't attack correctly and take stupid damages.

Edit : I also did some test using a controller tester and it looks like my A button is working fine

I have had this same problem. I'm using the keyboard controls mapped in the 1.4 update notes from the QA team (using the mouse buttons.) I just had to run out of two dungeons in a row because my attack button stopped working while i was trapped in a room lots of enemies chasing me. I thought it may have something to do with my mouse, and then I found this post which has someone using a controller so I think this is a wider issue. Please fix this soon, I'm basically gambling on every dungeon now, not whether I'll go too far and lose everything but if my controls will just stop working and I'll have to pay more than I make just to leave/restart.

I was actually inside the shop trying to craft a bow and once I clicked the "Grab" button (the "A" button on my Xbone controller) I couldn't move left to select yes... and when I did get it to finally move the A button was no longer working... but other buttons were.

I swapped controllers, cables and USB ports but had the same problem... also I was NOT spamming when in the menu... the button just stopped working.

I think this might be what I'm seeing in 1.5.1.0?

I've attempted with multiple weapons on Windows 10 with both Keyboard and Xbox 360 Gamepad, and I _can't_ make fast attacks while facing left. Weirdest bug I've ever seen.

I can make them in all other directions, and I can make heavy attacks left, but facing left and pressing the fast attack button does absolutely nothing.

Edit: This was fixed by leaving the dungeon. Not sure how I got into this state in the first place, though.

I'm having this issue as well. It happened before and on the most recent patch. I'm using the Switch pro controller, so hearing that it's happening on everything else is at least comforting a bit. Hopefully this gets fixed soon, it saps my desire to play the game whenever it happens. :hatty:

This glitch actually killed me :steamsalty: .... Just posted a discussion about it too before I saw this, in the same room I'm having the bug happen I can still open a chest. (edit) I mention the chest because Attack/Interact are both bound by default to the A button on my controller

It seems like I'm having the same problems. From time to time, my attack-keys (mouse buttons) stop working. Both actually, and since I hardly use the right mouse button, it has nothing to do with spamming.
The first times, I reassigned the keys, but the last time, the game refused to recognize my left and right mouse button at all and it took some time until I could reassign.
Btw. my mouse is working fine, I alt-tabbed while I waited for the game to recognize my mouse again and outside of Moonlighter, I didn't have any problems.
What's even more confusing... just a couple of minutes after I was finally able to 'fix' my controlls again, still in the middle of the dungeon, I could not attack to the upside anymore.

The game is so lovely, but this bug occurs so regularly, that it kind of kills the fun. It's incredibly frustrating when you're in the middle of a fight. I really, really hope it gets fixed soon.
