Are weapons lost when you die?

Are the weapons lost or only the objects obtained when dying?

Wanderer dungeon reward weapons are lost when you die or otherwise exit the dungeon by any means.

Other weapons that you have equipped or in your pockets aren't lost.

Weapon that you have in your backpack (which is unlikely to happen) are lost upon death.

Not true. I lost all my weapons to the whitch boss and decided to not play again.

If your weapons were equipped, you can't lose them. Are you sure you didn't accidentally switch to an empty secondary weapon slot instead? Same goes for your inventory, when you die you typically lose all of it except for the items that were placed on the top 5 slots.
