game crashing at start on MacOS

hello, i just bought moonlighter to play on MacOS. despite the terrible controls implementation choices, assuming that everyone plays with a qwerty keyboard (took me 20mn to change the controls ngl), starting the game makes my session crash.
i play on MacOS 15.0.1 with an intel chip, the game's version is 1.14.38.
what can i do to play ?
