Amulets are a fun deal though, its nice to get extra boosts in the second playthrough. Hopefully theres more variety to the amulets though. Not sure if they will give amulets additional abilities (which implies more needs to button map), but if they do, they have free buttons under Will control that could help.
Just wish there would be more modifiers to aid with dungeon crawls. Things like an atk up duration potion, or a defence buff potion, speed potion, etc... all to be crafted by the wooden hat. Would make the second playthrough possibly more fun when you try to buff rush the boss with suboptimal equipment.
I actually see a lot of potential in NG+, as there are alot of "useless" dungeon loot thats nothing more than peddlewares. IF they expanded the crafting list or added new craftables, these items begin to have more value and add to more playtime exploring the various levels to craft everything. Its likely going to come in with the familiar system though. Again not sure if its going to be exclusive to NG+.
What carries over from the regular game is confusing. Sigh. If it's true that weapons sell for a million, I blew it. However, since the prices have increased, a million isn't too hard to raise.
I have had a few annoying glitches, so far all in the jungle maps. In short, my character freezes and the controls stop working and I die, holding down "L" does nothing. It's happened maybe four times, just after entering the second room of the second jugle map. Also, the hit box issues are showing up in the jugle areas with about the same frequency as the goldem maps.
So, I have noticed that some elements/effects (not sure what you call it) that you can add/change with enchantments work better in some dungeons than in others. I _think_ you can just have one element/effect at once and so when you pay for amnew enchantment, you lose the one you previously had. (That's certainly not clear from the clues in the game interface because the straight up enhancements that just change the hit points do stack.)
Still no rings . . . still basically the same game (but with now with mo' grind) so far and I just wrapped the forest level. IIRC, desert is next, followe by tech.
I'm still only on the first (new) Pirate blade/blow upgrade and I _think_ things will move along a little faster with the next weapon upgrade.
most of them arent worth it, but some are
emergency rings take effect when you go below 20% health
increase healing, defense, speed, and attack
i also picked up a fenix ring, its basically a free revive
Whew, it's a long, long grind from a 5 million credits blade to a 20 million credits blade . . . , even at a million credits per day of sales (minus potions, etc.) . . . it's a good, what?, 8 hours? A while.
Overall, the only amulet that is clearly useful at times is the one that elimates poison damage. There are maps in the jungle level where poison is annoying and the anti-poison ring is useful there. If the effects of the rings were, say, doubled (both good and bad), they would be more interesting. As they are, they just don't make much difference. I don't think I can credit dying early or clearing an extra map to any of the six amulets I've picked up so far. The anti-poison amulet, however, does make zipping through the jungle maps searching for quest items easier.
Also, ahem, I finally figured out how to raise 20 million credits without days of grinding: If your store has a bunch of tips activated then selling potions is the best way to raise a bunch of money fast. I tried selling potions way back, based on the advice of someone (thank you!) here, and thought it was too slow and a waste of time. However, doh, with 150+% tips, turning around a few dozen $300k potions, even more or less at cost, will raise millions, fast. You still have to gather dessert parts to give to Andrei at Vulcan's Forge but 20 million takes maybe 20 minutes selling potions, comapred to hours and hours of slowly crawling and selling the spoils.
If you over sell something (potions), they are valued less.
But glass tables turn low popularity items into neutral popularity items.
Plus items in there cannot be stolen.
the game plus feels alright, but also feels empty in some way, that actually makes the whole store not worthy of your time, and i have been getting prices that i though it was expensive rather cheap, even way off from the price on the notebook.
at least add a mystery dungeon, on NG+ but surpassing the actual equipments, like, you need to use the pirate weapons to enter, or to unlock you need to use those weapons, and they break, but the spoils and rewards are quite better than the standard ones
but that would need to add more things to buy or so, then is just a play for fun area.
still i dont regret buying this game, and is rather pleasant to play this , bcuz the gameplay is quite good tbh~
