Is Faster Armor Worth the Lack of Defense?
Faster armor across all levels never goes up in speed and so far enchantments haven't made it any faster either. So while they might be viable in early on levels where the defense trade off is lower, are they worth keep and using later on at higher levels or should I invest in more defensive armor types?

Also why is the steel helmet worth less armor points at level two than the iron helmet?

Personally I picked the faster armor because let's face it, how can you go wrong by MOVING faster? Did it help with kiting mobs, or rolling and dodging attacks? Who knows. BUT! One thing is for certain, steel armor penalizes you. In a game where if you're not careful things will absolutely take out half your HP, you definitely do not want to be penalized in any way shape or form. Personally, I went with iron chest, and fabric boots and helm.

Enchantments don't seem to do anything past the first enchant, and the only thing on the news page says that higher enchants only add a different effect to each piece of gear. Buffing past +1 is basically worthless.

Lastly, the steel gives you more health than the other two. It wouldn't make sense for it to also have the highest defense, because then you'd be unkillable. It's a suitable trade off to make the other options more appealing.

For oblivous players, you can scroll down at the armor shop where you can then craft chest armor and boots. Don't be a fool like me who runs around with only a helmet on until the end of the game and wonders why there are 500hp potions when you only have 485hp max.

I went for iron armor because of the balance. More speed usually means me running into traps and enemies more. Dark Souls made me not want heavy armor and slow rolls, ever.

And I'd say try to get a bow as soon as you can and equip that next to a sword. There's no need to have 2 melee weapons and ranged attacks make some bosses easier.

Would have been good to know that the enchantments weren't worth it so I could have saved some cash. I kept upgrading to +++ and assumed the UI was buggy for not showing a damage increase or new damage element.
