Moonlighter Item Pricing Notebook
I find that the notebook item pricing system is flawed. When I'm treading the prices of items to stabilize the popularity of an item while getting the highest benefits from selling it, the way the notebook organizes your latest selling history doesn't make the most sense.
For example, If I were to sell an item for 28 coins and that afterwards, I got a good reception for that item. Now, I sell that item again for 30 coins and get a worse reception. Then I get that same item and sell it for 29 coins and get the same reception as I did before. But the notebook will say that the item priced at 30 coins will illicit a negative reception even though at 29 coins, the same result will be produced.
Shouldn't the notebook record the lowest price an item will lose popularity instead of the highest, before it garners the worst reception? Also, Boss items should be offered at Le Retailer after you've sold them at your shop; Weapon enchantments should be carried over, once you use it to forge a stronger weapon, as well. Finally, there should also be a way to know that you have the best prices in your notebook.

+1 to this. The notebook does not update prices for me. It only seems to save the first price the item was sold for and does not update as the price acceptance/rejection changes. It also does not seem to save unhappy reaction prices, I'm guessing because the item does not get sold even though the notebook makes it look like it should.
I thought the popularity of an item did nothing for how much you price something at. I played through the whole game, and had no issues regarding pricing (used the "Optimal Pricing Guide") and the only thing I noticed were that items of higher popularity sold faster than items of lower popularity. On top of that, the popular items themselves would stop selling as quickly if you only sold those specific items. Plus the notebook kiiiinda (but not really) does that with the faces of the customers.

The notebook itself doesn't update the pricing because there's actually a specific range of prices each item can sell for that will satisfy customers. (Popularity does nothing for the price.) Once again, in the "Optimal Pricing Guide" it goes over said range in a x/y/z format, with X being the absolute cheapest you can sell an item for, Y being the absolute highest price you can sell the item for and keep customers happy, and Z being the absolute MOST you can price an item at before no one will buy it.

Le Retailer is definitely not somewhere you should be shopping at, at any stage of the game. The boss items do nothing, they aren't necessary for any gear, enchantments, etc. etc. There's no reason for Le Retailer to sell them. Weapon enchantments, while it would be nice to carry over, also wouldn't make sense to carry over as it just buffs stats. Considering the upgrade will always blow the enchantment boost out of the water, it makes sense to have to rebuy the enchantment. Empowered Crystals aren't too hard to find, and you only need to hold onto 15 of them at any given moment to upgrade all your gear.
