NG+ : Why does it have to be based on an old game?
I don't want to carry over millions of gold coins and be able to buy everything from the beginning. Why remove that part of the progression?

I don't care if it's optional, but I really want to start on a clean slate. I can see no reason at all for not being able to do that. Just enough coins to use the amulet once should be enough.

I haven't tested it, but I'm pretty sure the amount of gold you can carry over is limited. I think I had maybe 4m on my last save and NG+ I started with 400k.

Considering later weapons are 20m+ and everything sells for x5 the original price, I wouldn't fuss over it too much. Expect to spend more time grinding per dungeon in NG+. You might actually get the "Kill 1000 of x dungeon mob" or "get to level 3 of x dungeon 10 times" achievements.

I see.. well for me it was 6,7 M (Really took my time there) I carried over so the limit is high. Oh well..

btw: Money that's invested at the Banker (and stored Armour sets, but not weapons) still carries over into a new game.

Just saying, its a nice boost at the begining, but it means nothing later on. Since a single weapon upgrade in the 4th dungeon costs 41mil, before enchantment, carrying over even 10mil means nothing.

I know this thread is a little old at this point, but imo I don't see how starting off the NG+ with millions of gold is insignificant when all the items and upgrades cost you a few thousand gold to begin with and they give you a training sword capable enough to kill the monsters. You're completely taking the whole point of the game away. I feel like the training sword that does 400 dmg was meant to get you started in the new game and the new items costing 5000$ means that you're NOT suppose to have that gold you transfer over. This is a major major fail on their part.

You say that it's irrelevant because items later will be millions but that in itself is irrelevant because NG+ items are worth more and it was already very easy to make millions of credits on the 4th dungeon. It's even easier to make 41 million$ in NG+ for those upgrades. So basically you fly through the first few dungeons because you don't have to grind.. you can just purchase the firefly pots and you've got fully upgraded gear..

If you don't want the gold, burn it on useless items. Buy up as many potions as you can get, then throw them away.

I'm really happy with the carryover, Devs, to please keep it!

I enjoyed being able to get a few upgrades right away and skip that *initial* grind the second time around. And I still had to grind later on. There's still plenty of grinding to do in NG+ even if you carry over a few million gold.

It's basically almost exactly the same as a regular NG anyway. I felt no difference, except for wasting some money on pirate weapons to test them and see they are inferior. Craft some pirate weapons.
