The Gloves
I've been watching alot of streams of this game and it looks fantastic, but one thing I've noticed is that almost no ones picked up the gloves (from what I've seen) its really only been the sword or the spear...why don't they use them? do they suck or something?

i assume you mean the 2hander? probably best combo in the game is 2 strike glove + switch to 2hander crit. The gloves are fast, hit well, and the special if done right will hit an enemy twice (a little tricky, requires a well timed dodge at the end of the dash).

My entire file was double gloves (straight damage + elemental ones) throughout the highest difficulty. Everyone uses spear because the difficulty of the game is already insanely easy and spears just add onto that as you can damage enemies from a range and easily stagger people.

Gloves have a decent three hit combo, the first two hits are double jabs with a slightly slower power punch as the third one. Most monsters die quickly with gloves for that current dungeon at max enchants (i.e. forest dungeon gloves +3) and if you're quick enough you can actually change your glove between the 2nd-3rd punch. So, I was able to double jab with my damage gloves and switch into my stagger gloves to stagger the enemy and switch back into my damage gloves.

Actually like 90% of the people use the 2-H cause apparently you're invincible if used "right".
I haven't tried it since I use the Bow and Spear, used the Gloves for a bit and liked them but I'm bad at dodging/using a controller so had to go back to the Spear =p

I used max damage bow only for the whole game. Tried the spear once, but the bow is OP with high move speed.

A ton of times I could cheese by using the bow charged shot. It goes through walls, pierces and even has homing. This on the third boss in the right spot deals massive damage.

During the 2 handed spin you are invulnerable and also if you position the enemy to be on the back of the sword it can hit up to 4 times and the spin does double damage so that’s 8 normal hits.

Why make a very easy game even more easy though? =)

Because big 2 handed weapons are bae.
Emerald Herald trying 2 handing ahead
I use sword + shield and bow, but I definitely plan on playing the game multiple times with different loadouts.

The spear works like this as well. When you charge through an enemy you are invincible for a minute and you can end up hitting on the back swing as well. You can hit 4 times if you charge through an enemy with the spear.
