Progressive rogue like?
I like the perma-death in rogue-likes, but one of the things that really bugs me is the way that everything resets, so your 5th run starts the same as your 55th. There's no real sense of progress between lives, just how lucky you get on each run.
I've seen a few games, like rogue legacy, implement permanent upgrade systems and unlocks for classes, races, abilities, and starting equipment are also nice.

This is a progressive roguelite. When you die, you get thrown out of the dungeon and lose everything that is not in your pockets. However, anything back at your store remains as do upgrades to the town.

I don't progressive roguelikes a la rogue legacy, but I hope if they do have this I hope that permanent upgrades won't be too crazy. I think that if you are playing with skill you should be able to reach the endgame with the minimal amount of permanent upgrades - I would hope that a hardcore mode would disable getting too many permanent upgrades too if that were the case

The only read upgrades are:
1. Upgrading your shop you you can sell more stuff

2. Upgrading your weapons and armor

3. Bringing in vendors like the blacksmith and potion maker.

There are no "levels" in the game best I can tell, so it's not like you can grind your way up to be overpowered and run ramshod all over a dungeon. Combat seems to be tactical and weighty.
