Is there a way to disable the Wanderer/Green Monster?
I absolutely love this game, i really love exploring the dungeons and managing my inventory.

...But because of this monster, i cant do either of those things, i genuinely hate this mechanic, it makes an otherwise great game stressful.
I have to rush on every level and am unable to explore (i dont even try to find every room, sometimes when just looking for the boss area this monster appears) and after it appears I am forced to use my pendant and cant even move on to the next floor because I am unable to fight the boss while this monster is chasing me.

I am really hoping there is a way to disable/remove this mechanic, it makes the game unenjoyable and frustrating. It would be nice f there was a setting or a way to go into the files of the game to turn this monster off, that way players who do not want to experience this mechanic can do so, and players who enjoy the mechanic and find that it makes the game more challenging can keep it.

That is sort of the point of the monster though.
It adds tension in order to prevent you from farming the best loot and easily winning.

The boss timer is only per floor, which meants it resets if you go down.
But to be clear one you get good enough in the game you can easily kill all the monsters and explore all of the rooms and not even have the monster spawn.

Just constantly moving always saves me from it.

It's not an issue for me, at all. I've seen him all of thrice, and that was when I was really dragging my feet. I generally have no problems clearing all rooms, enemies, and pick clean the loot I want out of a floor before triggering the spawn. Are you sure you're not just overestimating the timer on which it spawns? It sounds like you're assuming he's going to spawn a lot more quickly than he really does.

In short, I never worry about it, play normally, and almost never see him. I certainly don't make any effort to 'rush' to avoid him. I just deal with him in the off-chance he shows up, which is very rare.

Even if you do spawn him, he's pretty easy to run from; just know it's your sign to jet out of the floor come hell or high water. Whatever you do, DON'T get super-butthurt because you have to leave a room or a chest behind untampered with. You shouldn't feel like you have to do this to avoid spawning the monster -- ONLY do it if you can already see the icon on the lower left indicating he's on his way.

Dungeon runs go way too quickly, and everything is way too replaceable, for you to be worrying about it. Your stress is entirely self-generated. Usually, you can just head on to the next floor ... but worst case scenario, you have to leave the dungeon.

Even if you have to bail completely and head back to town ... within a few minutes, you'll be back where you were. I've only had to do this one time.

Wait, I found a golem history when replaying the game when right as I picked it up the ghost summoned with no warning? Is it like a trap?

Yes, I got surprised by that recently too and checked the web to see. Some loot in the secret areas do indeed spawn the creature.

If I remember right you are suppose to replace the object with a counter-weight

I remember doing that but I stopped because sometimes it let me go free.
