Battlefront 2 Windows 8?

Does this game work with windows 8 64-bit? I remember this game on console, and i wanna know if i can play it in win8

i just downloaded it and i have windows 8 64 bit computer but when i launch it, it shuts down and goes back to steam

From what I've seen around the forums, it does in fact work.

Try this:
1: Go to Control Panel.
2: Hit "Hardware and Sound"
3: Under the Sound option on the next screen, hit "Manage audio devices"
4: Switch to the recording tab in the window that pops up.
5: Right-click anywhere below "Select a recording device below to modify it's settings", and check "Show Disabled Devices"
6: A new device called "Stereo Mix" should appear. Right click it, and enable it.
7: Try the game again. It should work. Failing that, try plugging a mic or headphones into your PC.

Alight guys, just tried it, instead of fiddling with your control panel, plug an old set of earbuds or something with the standard audio jack into the microphone slot, it may seem odd, but it prevents the crash

This game starts to slow down my pc after one match. It has only been happening on Windows 8, works fine with Windows 7....

Works on 8.1 64 bit fine for me. Not sure about plain windows 8 though.

Might be your hardware, not your os.

Vlad's trick with having something plugged into line in did it. This would explain the people with similar configs not having problems. They must have already had a mic plugged in. Thanks!

I have Windows 8 and play the game just fine.

The trick is the mic fix to stop crashes. You need a mic plugged in and to enable it in the control pannel.
