no "Hero" gamemode?

i remember in the ps2 version it was on mos eisley there was a mode called "hero" i think where all chars where yedis and stuff. i cant find this mode here. is it missing in the pc version?

That's a bit odd, is it a fresh install? Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling.

For windowed mode right click on BFII in your library, then click on properties. Click on Set launch options, then type in /win and click OK.

well im stupid its just called "assault" which confused me cause in the ps2 version (i had a german one) it was just called hero.
and assault was something different.

one more problem. now its in windows mode but its really small.
i set it to 1920x1080 in options but it doesnt change anything in the window size :/

When you mean it's really small do you mean in-game or when you're navigating the menus?

Either use Gameranger or Gamemaster or even both as they're the most active services.

As for how your friends would join you they'd need to download them as well.

Oh and I just remembered something, if you didn't know you can skip the intros by typing /nointro in Set Launch Options.

but with certain mods you get to play hero assault in any if all maps and mod maps too.

i tryd the video How to play Star Wars Battlefront 2 after GameSpy shutdown
but it doesnt work, after i try the exe from dropbox it says binkw32.dll is missing. dont know what to do

the GameMaster patch file has to be added to the GameData folder with the following:
Binkw32.dll
Eax.dll
Unicows.dll
Data folder

make sure it is added there with them otherwise it wont launch.
