1st Person vs 3rd Person
I'm having trouble deciding which to pick. Which one do you think is better and why?

you can switch between them in game. forget wich key though. As the game lacks vehcile interiors unlike the first one, I usualy don't play in first person.

First person for the scope whenever I'm sniping or shooting from afar. Third person for every other situation.

First person for everything I can. I know how to play in first person very well,as that was all I played on while plaing BF1 or BF2 PS2 version

On console I swore by third person, but it just feels awkward playing that way with keyboard and mouse. If you have a controller I would suggest third person. Otherwise first person works better.

first if sniping. you can zoom in more eficently. third for everything else.

First person.
It just seems more "natural".

But if you just want to know what's most effective, probably the third person since you get a bigger fov than the 1st person perspective.

For space combat, though, always third person. Lack of cockpit makes it a no brainer.

Third-person is what the game was chiefly developed for. The low first-person FOV and awkward animation (when rolling, or the delay after throwing a grenade that, if you switch to third-person, shows your character pulling his gun out again) prove that much. If you're going to snipe, go first-person, otherwise, third-person is the best way to play.

I only have third person for jet-troopers first person covers everything else ;)

Third person, definitely. The field of view is too limited in first-person, like it is with most FPS games. Considering SWBF's playstyle, third person gives you a significant advantage over first peson.

I think First is so much easier on PC but if you have a gamepad go for 3rd.

To switch perspectives during gameplay, you jsut have to press "v". It doesn't work on Jedi though.
