launch Steam
once fully launched then launch GameRanger
once launched then go to the top right left corner and go to options > game and see if the path is correct (which leads to your BattlefrontII.exe the ORIGINAL one which is 4,884GB or so,something like that,not entirely sure.)

Alright guys. There is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ solution ive been searching for many hours..
So everything you gotta do is go to
program files x86/steam/steamapps/common/STAR WARS battlefront 2/ gamedata
There you should see battlefront 2 app. Go ahead and create a shortcut from your desktop. Then delete the original one, steam has created for you. Open GameRanger, go to options,
find battlefront 2, tap browse and go to
program files x86/steam/steamapps/common/STAR WARS battlefront 2/ gamedata and select battlefront 2 app
select server, tap join and it should all work fine.
