is there still an active online community?

i know that gamespy is down and i have to download a 3rd party programm to play online but is there still a big community of players who play regulary? will always find servers with players or is it rather dead and i'll only find players if iam lucky?

Well go to Gameranger.com look for the dowload then just make an account for Gameshare its a bit differant you need to download there thing to play like the old gamespy account

cool. i actually dont have bf2 for pc, i played it as a kid on ps2 but didnt had internet back then so ive never played it online and due to all the bf3 hype i kinda want to get into it now.

Its has not died yes there is a low player base but theres always at least 12 peps on a server at all times and its growing i have been watching and i do see more players on as time goes by :)
GOtta go and get Gameshare and Gameranger tho. Gameshare is much better in my opioion but doest heart to have both :P Google the mods for this game there Kick butt man!! So much fun!

on the server Vanity usually there are 30 to 40 people. more than once there has been 64 (full server).

GameMaster is better though,less lag and everything.

there is also Tunngle which is the one which is the most dead of all three.

cool. thanks guys. yea ive downloaded game ranger yesterday and there was 1 full 64 players server and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of servers with 2-5 people. iam gonna get gameshare and gamemaster and check them out as well. thanks for all the answers guys... still i dont have the game yet... gotta get it the next days :P
