Star wars battelfront 2 issues
i have a problem with my Star wars battelfront 2 game. When I try to play it, no matter the game mode, I will just get kicked out to the steam main menu. Anyone have or know about what the issue might be?

I get the same problem, I've tried running as admin from the C: menu, running it in every windows mode, and it still kicks me out when I try to start up a game.

Same problem here. Literally just downloaded it and installed. Crashes right before the match boots up. Wanted some good ole' nostalgia. but no. Hope this issue will addressed.

I am about to try some more troubleshooting steps and I'll post on whether they worked or not.

Try this:

Control panel > hardware and sound > sound > manage audio devices > recording tab > right click an open area under mic and line in > mark a tick next to show disabled devices > right click on the stereo mix icon that appears and click enable

It works if you also run it in windows 7 compatibility mode. I just got thru 2 missions before posting this just to make sure it worked

I'll be here for any future assistance you may need :)

Did that fix work for anyone else? It should be a universal fix for Battlefront 2 crashing on windows 8. Unless your pc is out of specs in which case Im sorry.
