Game auto-tabs out to my desktop

I bought this game during the sale a bit ago, and waited for the key. When I got the key the game worked perfectly for about two days. Now, whenever I lauch it the game alt-tabs to my desktop. I can still see the icon on the taskbar, but I can't tab back in. I can hear game sounds and such, but can't play. I've tried the stereo mixer fix thing or whatever, but that doesn't work. Does anybody know a fix for this?

In the task manager, does the game declare 'not responding' or otherwise hang/freeze/crash?

Did you try the mic fix? Search the fourms.

The game also wants to be admin, as it is an old game.

No, I actually just got it to work an hour or so ago. It was never crashing or freezing. Anyway, I just got annoyed and angrilly clicked the icon and it let me back in.

That's it mang, whenever it tabs out now, I just spam the little icon on the taskbar until I hear the soundtrack, then it goes back into the game.
