Battlefront 2 Full Screen Issue
I'm running Windows 10 and the intro screens at the beginning of the game (as well as some screens, like the ones with the planets) won't render to a full screen. There are black bars along the sides of the screen. Can this be fixed? Has anyone else had this issue?

try this:

1. go to your Steam library
2. locate "Star Wars - Battlefront II"
3. right click the game
4. select "Properties"
5. under the General tab select <Set Launch Options...>
6. type "/resolution 1920 1080" -- you can substitute whatever width and height you wish.
7. select <ok>, then <close>
8. launch the game. Repeat steps until you find the desired settings.

I tried this on my game, no settings will fix it. What were some past settings people have used? Or what else can I do?

Found a fix, just make a shortcut for BattlefrontII.exe and do the launch parameter config there, it worked <3

I tried this, but it makes my menu overlap itself, any fix?

Hi I tried to enter the pre set resolution in the steam settings, play with the video settings and nothing works. I dont have any mods yet accept the 1.3 patch that should allow mods but other than that i just got the game and the game and mostly instant action is stuck in zoom. I cant choose or play any maps. Is there someone with the solution . Thank you

not 100% related I just spent 3 hours trying all the fixes this I could find online for fullscreen mode constantly minimising so figured this fix might also be appreciated here. I was about to request a refund when I thought that my desktop text scaling might be causing an issue.
If you're playing at 4K on a TV and have desktop text scaling activated in Windows display settings try turning it off (set scaling to 100%).
This, along with deleting the files in \Documents\STAR WARS Battlefront II\settings\ worked for me.
Don't be concerned about deleting these files. The game just creates new ones when it loads anyway.
Hope this saves someone else three hours of annoyance.

Also, btw, only the menu is in a smaller aspect ratio. In the game settings, you can set it to whatever your aspect ratio is, and it'll keep the menu easy to see and navigate. Then when you get into a battle or anywhere out of the main menu, it'll swap to the elected aspect ratio. (also heads up, never use max graphics on the game ever. it changes literally nothing and makes your game crash-freeze. Set them to all med and it's good to go)
