There's a lot more than it just being fast-paced.
Well that's your take on it I guess. I just see it as any other generic shooter except for the optimal loadouts of the Jetpack, Personal Shield, and the MG42.
Anyway that's just my opinion.
I never said BF2 had original mechanics. Though there was definately more teamwork and depth to some maps. It also was promoted as a third-person shooter. I guess what I see is that every "regular" trooper is an elite commando class in the "reboot" while in BF2 you were nothing but a normal trooper and expendable. I just don't like the "reboot" and I thought the beta may change that, but it didn't. It only made my opinion of the game worse.
faster? not sure about that. what makes it nothing like battlefield is power ups and the obvious lack of classes/roles. everyone can do just about anything effectively provided you picked the cards.
