+1 For Engineer. The shotgun works really good too, as long as you get them while they aren't blocking. Getting them while they jump is also really effective.
Knightfall is the hardest mission, IMO.
your midiclorian count is insanely high, traveller :)
rockets... and mines, toss em down and back up s-key, the jedi npc are dumb they will follow you and blow up ezpz.. also i like the one well hung guy's idea about using the chaingun because they cannot block forever.. just pre-plan the attack a lil bit..
Seriously the fun of the game is that you can't win just by walking forward and letting the story play itself like a lot of more recent dumbed down games. You can actually fail. That's good. Knightfall is the final mission of the Fall of the Republic Campaign so it should be challenging. Don't worry this is normal. It was always like this even when I played it way back. The library room was always the toughest back then. I find engineer is best because shotgun kills usually in 2 shots, and you can always quickly heal. Also, there are sort of two waves. More jedi spawn in when the counter reaches 1:00 left. You can use the brief window to heal yourself and even repair the library books as engineer.
As Anakin (technically Vader, but pre-suit) use the sprint/dash attack since that can't be blocked and you'll kill jedi or at least knock them back opening them to be finished off. Also, try choking, then throwing the saber at them while choking them. It's cool and the choke stuns them. Or choking then finishing with saber. You can also block enemy saber strikes with the blocking (same key for deflecting enemy shots).
There are difficulties, also, so if you suck even on normal that's definitely a you problem. This game is well balanced and even on Elite really not that punishing if you know what you're doing.
Always be aware of your troop count as it can go down fast, but you get a limited re-supply of reinforcements upon completing objectives. If you're the last man, you can still make it. The game is programmed so you can't fail the mission by another friendly a.i. dying. Only if you die do you fail.
