How to Un-cap FPS from 30.
I can run games like Skyrim, Homeworld Remastered, Just Cause 2 all at at 60fps with no issue, yet Star Wars Battlefront 2, runs at only 30-35 fps. Am I doing something wrong here?

Sounds like the game might be using the integrated Intel instead of your dedicated graphics card - SWBF2 runs between 30-40fps on it and if vsync is enabled in the Intel Graphics Properties then it'll be locked into 30fps.

I'm on an Intel/NVidia Optimus laptop and had a similar problem; the game is old so the computer thinks the less powerful graphics card will suffice. Can you select the preferred graphics card in the AMD control panel?

It turns out that it can go above to like 60, but it seems to be a resolution issue. at 1600x900 I only get around that much FPS. And it casually drops to 8-10 every minute or so. But I put it into windowed mode and It went up to 40fps, but that's still not pure 60.

That's odd, my laptop graphics card is a GT630m (G3D benchmark score 684) which is weaker than your 8500m/8700m (G3D benchmark score 963) and I've just run Geonosis XL mode and without vsync my fps was between 63 and 80. That's everything turned up full and my maximum resolution of 1366x768.

People seem to be having snags with AMD drivers at the moment, though this sounds like something different. Those large frame drops sound odd too. If you're definitely running on your dedicated card and there's nothing running in the background then I'm afraid I can't help :(

If I run it at 1366x768 yea I get 60fps
Its just I wish I could get 60fps at 1600x900. But thanks anyway.

Strangely Im getting 30fps at 1366x768 now. Flat confused. W/e I give up. I guess I can just deal with 30 unless any other solutions come up.

Still looks to me like a vsync issue - to get the maximum frame rate you've got to disable vsync in the game, your AMD panel, and the Intel Graphics Properties panel - that last one has caught me out before - even with games running on the dedicated graphics card, for some reason the Intel vsync still takes effect. The joys of Optimus :)

If you enable triple buffering in your AMD panel for the SWBF2 profile you might only get drops to 45fps instead of 30fps. Good luck anyway.

Alright, I'll try this

Yea, with vsync off it stays around 40-52. That's good enough I guess. Big fights its around 25-35.

Ctrl+Shift+Esc. "Set Affinity." All cores.

Battlefront II cap is at 80 fps.
