Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (Classic, 2005)

Physical copies w/ CD Key? *solved*
I have a factory sealed copy of this game sitting in my desk, and I'm wondering if I can still register physical copies of this game on Steam? Or should I just pick it up digitally?

I mean, I probably won't open the seal, knowing me, but I could probably try and get another copy.

Still?
That's never been a thing for this game.

No? It wasn't? I'm sorry lol. When I played this, it was on the PS2 and Xbox. Again, my PC copy is still plastic wrapped.

you can add the game as a non steam game. but that's all you can do with your disc version.

No cd key in the physical copies?

Basically, just buy the digital version and keep my copy factoy sealed?

umm there is a cd key in both.
but what I mean is,you can't transfer the games basically. only add as non steam games.

So I can't use the CD key on Steam if it's unused?

I Physically bought this game for pc and no you cant, those cd keys werent valid for steam at the time. I dont even think steam had their store fully up and running then either, wait it was, but it was very glitchy. Out of all the games i had bought back then Unreal Tournament 3 Black Edition was the only one that registered on steam.

That's actually very helpful lol. So basically, I should keep my copy plastic wrapped and buy the digital version on steam. >:3

I had a DVD copy of it before I bought the Star Wars Collection on Steam, and I can confirm that you CANNOT use the physical key to activate a copy on Steam. Sorry, mate.

Ok, so I got two people who say no from experience. I think that's all the info I need lol. Thanks for the heads up. Now I have an excuse not to open my factory sealed copy, muwahahaha

you mean product key? because the activation code thing is a little different than the CD Key.
by CD Key I mean the key listed on CD Key section in your steam library when you click SWBF2.
not the code you type in; for instance; you win a game and you get an activation code/redeem code.
just making sure we're on the same page :P
