Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (Classic, 2005)

How will the classic collection affect these games?
Title.

It probably won't; the collection looks like it offers several exclusive peripherals that the standalone games do not, but I also cannot fathom the standalone games being de-listed, as fear some of the speculators.

Overall, perhaps the release of the collection will grab some young blood attention and do okay in sales, or at least bring the game titles to the store forefront for a brief period of time and induce prospecting buyers to also take a gander at the preexisting standalone titles.

The very worst case scenario promises that someone will buy either the classic collection or one or both of the standalone games who previously was not considering the original Star Wars Battlefront series as a point of interest.

Does this actually add anything?
Is it the same games but just bundled together? (like The Orange Box for consoles)
Will we be able to play with the bundle version of the game?
Will the old versions get updates?
(I kind of doubt it) But would we be getting a free upgrade since we own the originals?

I would imagine that they would do some sort of remastering to make it work better with newer hardware, as they have already done with the OG Battlefront 1 for the Steam release. Other than that, the main reason for the Classic Collection is for consoles as it will be releasing on major current gen consoles.

When most Steam games are de-listed for any reason, you still have access to download them and play them even if no one else can purchase them. I still have access to Marvel's Avengers, a D&D Swordcoast game that died, and a couple others. I can play them, but no one can buy them.

There'll probably be more players online when the classic drops, but we will have to see.

True but it's hardly worth the 35€ price tag if you already own the much cheaper originals imo.

Just feel better that classic collection ones are completely supported for steam deck unlike old ones.
