SWBF2 Conversion Pack textures are wrong.
Yesterday, I installed the conversion pack for SWBF2. It took some time but I finally got it working (when I say working, I mean the maps appeared on instant action). I then installed the 2.2 update for it which, again, I got working. Today, I tried to play it but to my dismay the textures were wrong. For example, on Tatooine: Dune Sea (from SWBF1), the sand was blue, some green and the sun was red. Bright red. Is there anyway to fix it? Have I done something wrong?

I'm afriad to say that none of them worked. I've tried the 14.12 and the 15.10 thing and that doesn't change anything. I verified the cache but that just messed up the mod. I deleted the 'vid' ini file that one linked said to do but it did nothing and came had came back when I started up the game. Quite saddening.

Edit: I'd just like to say I have an AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series GPU.

hmmm...

did you try to update your drivers then?
not sure if it would help, but you can try.
verifying game cache will indeed get rid of any mods, so next time move them elsewhere and they should be fine when you put them back in GameData (meaning, move your addon folder elsewhere)

question: did your game look blue/red/etc before the mods?

No the game didn't. I just went to check one of the vanilla maps and it's all fine. And my drivers say they have the latest update. I'm now starting to wonder if I installed the mod wrong...

I installed the 2.0 conversion mod pack D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData. I tried to do it in an 'addon' folder but it didn't work no matter where the folder was. The way I've installed the mod make it all work. I installed the 2.2 patch in the same place too. I have no idea what's up with it all..

well, all mods go in addon. so yes, you did install it wrong.
best thing to do is, if there is an uninstall exe file that came with the convo pack, use that to uninstall the mod. if not, delete every single thing associated with the mod, then reinstall the mod properly.
the BF1 folder (from the convo pack) MUST be in addon folder.
and you also need the 2.2 patch in the same place (addon).

Does the 'addon' file go in the same folder as the .exe (GameData) or does it go in the folder previous to that one (Star Wars Battlefront 2)?

Edit: When I was first installing it I followed this webpage for advise: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=443697196
It says to put mods in an addon folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\ (or D:/SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\ for me)
When I did this it didn't work althought that could just be because of the way the conversion pack is.. I don't know.

Ok I uninstalled SWBF2 and reinstalled it to wipe all the messing about I did. I tried a different mod, called Dark Times. The way it wants you to install it is in the Star Wars Battlefront 2 folder so it can place it's own GameData folder inplace of the vanilla one. It kept everything from the vanilla and any new stuff it put in a folder called addon it made itself. (I probably should of mentioned that the conversion mod did the exact same thing.) I tried the Battle of Hoth on this new era it adds, called Dark Times. The middle floor was black, the left was yellow (facing towards the rebels) and the right was red. I did try and put it in an addon folder like you said but it didn't add anything. I think I installed it right so it must be something else..

hmm.... it never created a GameData folder for me. did you try extracting it in GameData or addon?

I first extracted it so it went straight to the addon folder, then I extracted it into the Star Wars Battlefront 2 folder. I haven't tried just doing it in the GameData folder though so I'll give that a try quickly.

another thing you can try (some people do this, I personally don't but....) you can try extracting it on desktop and manually moving the files to addon.

That sounds like an idea though also tricky and could go wrong very easily but if worst comes to worst I'll give it a shot.

I really REALLY should of tried this sooner. I deleted all mods from the game and just kept the game vanilla. I went into the battle of Hoth, same texture problem so it AIN'T anything to do with the mods. So now I don't know what to do..

hmm... wait, if the vanilla/stock game is fine.... and it only happens with mods, then how is it not a mod problem? o.O
