menu scrolls by itself

i need help my game keeps scrolling down by itself and when i scroll up it goes up continously , is this an issue with my touchpad or with the game

Sometimes the commands tied to the buttons get stuck internally because the game doesn't realize you stopped pressing the button and thus the appropriate trigger never disables the action. Pressing the button again will usually correct the problem.

i am on laptop and i try pressing the buttons but it keeps scrolling

I'm also on laptop, and based on the forum posts I've read, I think this problem is unique to laptop users. I was FINALLY able to solve the issue today--it was my freaking trackpad causing the endless scrolling.

If you have an external mouse, you can go into your PC settings (specifically Bluetooth & Devices on Windows 11) and make sure "Leave touchpad on when a mouse is connected" is not active. (AFAIK this setting is on by default.) I played all afternoon with no menu scrolling!
