Is modDB safe?

I'm wondering if I were to get a bf2 mod and get a virus from it? Is it safe? Because really I don't know.

I doubt you can get a virus, I mean I guess its possible, but chances are that mod (or game) will gey removed and the user be banned

I've modded my game to the breaking point, but I've never once gotten a virus from ModDB.

ModDB is safe, I downloaded several mods from there and never had an issue with it
