Would that work? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times.
How does one do that?
1. Open Control Panel
2. Click 'Uninstall a Program' under 'Programs'
3. Scroll down and find 'Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable'. You might have one labelled (x64) and one (x84). Do the below steps for both of them.
4. Right click on the program and click 'Change'
5. A dialogue box should appear asking you to either 'Repair', 'Uninstall', or 'Close'. Click 'Repair'
6. After it completes click 'Close'. If you have another MSVC 2013 program, repeat steps for that one as well.
Now try running it. If it still doesn't work, follow these steps:
1. Find Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005) in your steam apps by going to 'C:\\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II'
2. Enter the folder labelled 'GameData'
3. Right click on BattlefrontII.exe and click 'Properties' at the bottom
4. Click the tab 'Compatibility' at the top of the window
5. Check the box marked 'Run this program in compatibiliy mode for' and from the drop down menu select Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
Now run the game from Steam.
I hope this helps!
Unfortunatly it didn't. I got close (it came up with a "do you want this to make changes to computer?" menu), but it still doesn't run
Oh well
