They tend to be inaccurate on purpose, and then become accurate out of nowhere.

the bots accuracy can be seemingly completely random. sometimes they cant hit the broad side of the barn, and other times they are doing a 360 midair sniper no scope headshot (as has happened to me once). Never assume a bot doesnt notice you if its within your field of view and not too far away. unless youd like to fall victim to annoyingly precise 180s on the bots part. in general shoot to kill, and dont stand still. movement is very important in this game, and you want to be as unpredictable as possible.

a couple tips: its usually a good idea to roll while reloading if your in the middle of a firefight, or at least strafe hard. also snipers will be one of the biggest dangers you run into if you dont learn how to deal with them. first off try not to get into a close encounter with one, as they are extremely accurate and aggressive with their pistol if you get too close. try to engage from a fair distance. also if you pay attention youll notice that snipers always pick the same spots to camp and snipe from on larger maps, knowing these spots can be a huge life saver.

oh, and as present as it is in all games with bots *and* shotguns, always assume you have less range with a shotgun then a bot, because you do.

Just keep practicing and go for headshots and in time you will find yourself being a one-man-army against the hoard of would-be mechanical or bucketheaded overlords.

yeah it's a lot harder than on consoles

Honestly as someone who has spent almost all their time with swbf2 on a ps2 (only got it on steam to play it with friends online), i find it easier on console. and honestly i think console is the pure experience of the game. the controls were just meant for consoles imo. also ofc splitscreen, and splitscreen galactic conquest are awesome.

exactly. plus I got it for around $3

while the bots can be well, aimbot sometimes, i feel like the main issue is that when you're in the area, they tend to only shoot you and not other other bots on your team
you can run into a group of 4 or 5 enemy bots with a team of 2-3 of your teammates
and the enemy bots will look directly at you and also shoot only you
it takes away from the battle feel of the game imo
its pretty lame how the AI react in this game, still a decent game no doubt but when everyone targets only you it really takes the fun outa the game.

The team ai seems to be stupider too

it's interesting, maybe i didn't notice it when i first played this game on PS2,
i was fairly young
but i swear the AI didn't target you out of everyone all the time
also weirdly, the PC AI can't take control of the Jedi's
tho i believe you can mod that back into the game

I know what you mean. LOL
yeah with the remastered mod (which I Use)

honestly not sure why this was left out of the PC version
as i know that the original Xbox and PS2 both allow the AI to take control of the Jedi's

Also I have noticed that compared to 2004 Battlefront 1, enemies in 2005 Battlefront 2 single-player will focus on you once they see you even if your AI allies pose a bigger threat to them.

In Battlefront 1, the single-player enemy AI seemed to not focus/fixate on you if your AI allies were present as well.

Yeah. In a lot of ways the first Battlefront is superior in some regards. Which is why people still play it. The original Battlefront has MUCH better AI. Air vehicles (although they can be modded in with Battlefront 2) and I like the classes a lot better in the first Battlefront. Each faction felt much more unique because each unit was unique. Even down to the weapons for soldiers. Like Stormtrooper rifles were hilariously inaccurate, but they did a lot more damage than the Rebel blasters. Stuff like that.

I still love Battlefront 2 though.

for accuracy i think since I've played for like 300 hours I've seen a pattern where if you stay still or are defenseless they become extremely accurate, but if you keep dodging then you'll last a lot longer, it's just basically when your defenseless when they become very accurate
