Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Workshop
a workshop would be an easy way to post mods

This game doesn’t have a universal method for installing mods and therefore isn’t very compatible with the way workshops function

it will never happen, learn how to download mods on your own

they could make a luncher that lets you select Specific mods you want to play and they could updateded to where mods are capable without the unofficial patch

On a scale of 1-10 how little do you know about mods (10 being absolutely nothing)

messing with variables is not anywhere close to making mods lul

The issue with a workshop would be how different mods are installed in different ways. Because of that, the uniform installation path that a workshop system uses would simply not work. The only alternative to that would be having users choose the installation path/directory, but the problem there is that the people who would likely be uploading their mods to the workshop wouldn’t even know the correct path themselves. Basically that means there’s a 50% chance (if being generous) that any mod you download from this hypothetical workshop could easily mess up your game. It should also be taken into consideration that there are many mods that replace certain base game files which are vital for the mod to function. Do you know what that means? It means if you, lets say, install 1.3 patch and then a graphical mod, part of 1.3 patch is going to be erased because both mods replace the ingame.lvl.

Yes let’s al just come up with unrealistic ideas

Yeah, and wouldn't it be cool if they put the game on sale for 50 cents forever? And gave us proper dedicated servers? and while they're at it, they could even fix the terrible netcode and balance the classes out more. Wow, the possibilities are endless!

And please fix the mine problem about player hitboxes :/

The original developers for the game are gone. I was being pretty obviously sarcastic and I feel r e t a r d e d even having to explain that fact. Don’t get your hopes up just for none of this to come true.

As far as I know, the only place to get mods for this game is on ModDB if i recall correctly, but yeah. Just look up battlefront II mod videos. Theres some pretty good ones out there.

Actually, this brings up a scenario I've always wanted to play out from the single player campaign.

Is there a way to turn Classes on or off in multiplayer? I've always wanted to make everyone play as engineer :P

You can by setting health values for individual classes to 0 but you'd need a modder to accomplish that

Good point - That's what they've done with Chewie in Mos E. on the servers it seems. He dies every time I spawn as Chewie.

But it seems there is no 'default / standard' option to do this within the existing game mechanics / options menu.

Thanks for the reply

Yes, that’s exactly right. One thing I could suggest would be to contact modders on gametoast.com and swbfgamers.com
