Alternatives to SWBF2 Mod Tools?
I like downloading mods other people have made, but I was really hoping to make my own personalized adjustments to the game, (small things like tweaking projectile damage and movement speed to my liking, etc.) Is there any way to do this WITHOUT using the SWBF2 Mod Tools? The executable doesn't work on my computer, and none of the solutions I've tried have done anything. The program seems to be pretty broken, which isn't suprising as it appears to have been released around 2008. Are there any alternative programs to this one that let you manually make small adjustments to the game? I know that hex editing the .lvls is a thing, but that's such a complicated and difficult process- I'd much rather use a simple program made for the game, like Mod Tools, one that works on more modern computers. My hopes aren't high, but if there is an alternative, I'd find it very useful.

As I've explained, Mod Tools is BROKEN on my computer. It doesn't matter if I learn how to use it, the executable crashes instantly. This has been a long-standing error from what I've read on that site, and I was also told on that site that this program simply doesn't work on every computer.

You're either dumb or lazy. BF2_ModTools.exe isn't the actual mod tools. Get off your ass and do some actual learning/digging at gametoast and you'll be able to produce something.

I think you need some fresh air... Not only did you completely miss the question ("is there an ALTERNATIVE to Mod Tools?" not "how 2 fix mod toolz,") and attempt to answer it after someone else already did, you also somehow managed to get your panties in a twist over it.
