Space flight on PC, what options do I have and what is an Immelmann?

The Immelmann is a control option under Starfighter in the options, what is this exactly? I can only do side-dodges and turn-arounds but how do I do a flip? As in, evade something only to return to my original direction? This would not be a side-roll. Can you choose the direction of any of the maneuvers other than the side rolls?

I believe if you press immelman key and roll right/left you will set how you want to do a trick. If you want to do basic immelman then press fast few times key which slows you down or just use the key which you can see in options.
i can say only so much...btw immelman is probably best maneuer to avoid rockets locked on you. Do it if rockets are around 200-300 meters away from you.
You bassicly turn around while doing it. Its game from 2005 there is not much maneures we can do only those
