Sudden Lag and No Sound Bug

Battlefront used to run fine on my computer on every game mode, then one day this bug started happening where a few seconds into each game, the sound turns off and the whole program starts running at like a steady 3 frames per second. Obviously this makes the game itself completely unplayable, and when I go back to the menu it still runs at like 3 fps until I restart the whole program.
I've re-downloaded the game multiple times, verified file integrity, got rid of my built-in game overlay software, and changed preferences to optimize running on different versions of Windows, but nothing so far has helped the problem whatsoever.
I do not have Discord overlay or anything so it's not that.
It looks like three other people on this forum are experiencing the same problem and haven't gotten it resolved.
The bug started around the time I downloaded a modded launcher to view saber hitboxes on hero assault, but I have since deleted all files related to that and re-downloaded the game.
If someone familiar with troubleshooting this game could help me figure out how to fix this problem it would be very much appreciated.

I'm having the same issue and I've done everything possible to fix it. It doesn't seem like anyone knows what to do right now

i also have the same problem. all of a sudden it just started to happen every time i play instant action. At first, i thought it was caused by mods i have installed but after a clean uninstalling and file verifying there is still the sudden fps drop and sound cut about 30 seconds into the match. Hopefully somebody finds out a solution soon as a few other people have the problem as well.
