Black Screen?

I've tried every fix I can find online and nothing is working. I can join a game but as soon as it comes time to play and get into the action my screen turns black. If I pause the game I can see everything again but if I unpase it goes back to black.

Did you try running in windowed mode?

Yes and still black scren. I also found thqt this only happens when either me or my friend host a game. If I join somebody elses I don't get a black screen.

Its probably the discord overlay. If you have discord and have the overlay on that is the issue. Had a similar problem and that was it

I had the same probleme, it came from the discord overlay . I just disabled it for BF2 and everything works fine.

It's not a "chat virus". I haven't had any viruses from it. Also, turning the overlay did work for me. Thanks yall.

Yeah like the others said, Discord overlay was the issue for me too when i came to this post, so I just turned it off cause it's sort of useless anyways. and then my issue was solved, no more blackscreen.
