CD Update/Fix?
Has anyone found a way to update the CD version of this game, so that it is playable online?

I can start the game (in safe mode) and i found a 1.1 update (https://help.disney. com /articles/en_US/FAQ/Star-Wars-Game-Update-and-Patch-list) but can't find any online servers.

But when i try to 'normal' launch it, the start up tries to install Dx 9,0c, and fails for it dosent support my system, yet i found a sys req program (within the game folders) and after running it says I should be able to play it.

Is there a way to get the CD versions of this game to play with the GOG and Steam versions of this?

Dont bother. Even if you buy it from steam you probably couldnt play online either.. most of us cant.

Shoulda bought Battlefront 2 on Origin I heard its better.

You mean the one with P2W "gambling" loot system? There was only one game i MIGHT of done that for and this isnt that game.
I spent most of the day trying to get my CD drive to open, (the manual release wasn't working), got to work and i cannot even play it online which was how i spent my childhood on. rip.

Its microtransactions have been removed, Its credit earning system has been buffed, Its characters prices have been lowered drastically, its graphics are better than every game that has come out this year and the game is genuinely fun. I agree back in the beta and early access days it had a disgusting amount of P2W and a horrible Loot System but now the game is really fun star wars goodness. It has alot of characters and it has no season pass and free new content every month. Honestly now its more Play To Win than even call of duty. Its a fun game, Its progress mechanic may be a bit annoying but the core game itself is beautiful and fun to play. But I'm never buying another EA game again unless its Battlefront 3 for the Xbox Two 2024 edition X - 3.
