Can I play with a friend against bots using gameranger or something?

I have been looking around to see if I could play with friends against bots but since having no prior knowledge to how multiplayer worked I don't if they are automaticaly included. So if there is a way can you tell me. I want to get the game only if I can play with a friend.

You can play with or without bots using GameRanger. There's no real difference between how you would host with GameRanger or without it other than the fact that you would have to set up the GameRanger lobby before starting the game. Just look around in the settings for when you want to create a Multiplayer lobby.
