Unable to join multiplayer
A disturbance in the force... As if a million voices cried out in sadness, as they were unable to join any games...

Would love to see if someone knows how to fix the issue with not being able to join any servers... Ideas anyone?... Anyone?

Firewall is definantly no issue, i already checked and made sure it was allowed through. Perhaps it needs port forwarding or something

None of this is going to be working properly for at least a few days and I say this because it was just released. However, GoG (the company responsible for the revival) IS actually working on a fix for these issues. Just be patient.

It is interesting that it is working for some and not others regardless of that.

I had a look in the game folder and it would appear that it's the BattlefrontII.exe that is the issue, it has no Icon and if I view the Details Tab in the Properties menu there is no info filled in there besides it saying it is an Application and what date it was modified... No File Version or anything.

So I have tried deleting BattlefrontII.exe and then started to Verify the game files, the same file that is invalid is indeed the BattlefrontII.exe. Even if you delete it Steam will download the corrupted file again, it doesn't matter if you uninstall the game and reinstall or whatever.

Some people have been lucky and obtained the non corrupted file so I assume this comes down to different coppies on different steam file servers.

Maybe someone with a working BattlefrontII.exe will be kind enough to upload it somewhere so everyone can enjoy this till Steam sorts their ♥♥♥♥ out ;)
