Installing Mods

How do you install mods? Do you just put them in a mods folder that you just create somewhere? Would like to know how it's done.

In your battlefront 2 files you need create file named "addon" it is the place where you put mods. If you bough battlefront on steam then location should be (Steam>steamapps>common>battlefront2>GameData>addon) i believe
to make mods work you need additionaly download and install unnoficial patch 129r which is included in mod (Battlefront Extreme BFX) you can find it on www.moddb.com

Do I need to do anything else after downloading the patch? Put it inside the game folder?
Did the addon folder now.
Downloaded patch. What now?

put the patch and all mods into the addon folder

if the patch you downloaded is an exe file then start it up and select the direction i posted in last post. eventually as i said too :) download BFX mod which include that patch and new eras,
You can always check guides i am sure there is Guide created bt Sue-Krueger on steam how to download and install mods.

automatical direction for that mod might be not the one showing Steam. so it bassicaly installed mod but in wrong place.

As well you can try to install it from zip file you have 2 download options on www.moddb.com

I Downloaded and installed that mod i will see now if i have it working. If it works i post full install direction.

AAANDDD i might have idea why mod may not work for you. Only thing. Post all mods you installed :)

After 3 tries i have it XD its the Correct install direction for that mod.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData but watch out last part Gamedata is puting automaticaly. Manualy last part You choose is Star Wars Battlefront II
So you click only (C programfiles (86) >steam>steamapps>common>star wars battlefront II) and press Install :)

1. get the 1.3 patch
2 get 7 zip from tje offical web site
3. download the mod that you want and click on were you want to downlaod the mod to like downloads
4.extract file
5. open file and put the 3 letter file in addon folder
6. launch the game and your mods should be there make sure the mod file is a 3 letter file dont take any contents inside the 3 letter file out.

Rising son mod is one of the rarer mods installed by Exe file. He has already 1.3 patch and instead of 7 zip its better to download winrar trial version :P faster. At 7zip when i wanted to unpack bigger stuff such "extended clone wars mod" my pc just freezes meanwhile Winrar just opened it.

Then delete all files that has been installed before from that mod and remember to have the same install direction as the one i posted before.
There is limit for maps in game if there are more than 500 missions in Instant action, game became unstabile and could crash as well if there is too much mods. Some can be not showed properly.

This is why i asked. You could have too much mods installed. but looks like you are ok. Just mod must be installed properly.
