Help Request: Controller is not working

I would like to use a wired Xbox 360 controller for this game, but it is not working. Some tutorials have recommended rebinding each action to the controller via the options menu, but the game is not reading any of my button inputs from my controller. Any detailed advice on how to get the controller up and running would be appreciated. Thank you!

First prerequistie, the controller must be connected to computer before you start up the game. Second, you do have the Xbox 360 drivers I assume?

Thanks for the response, Bruxinth. My Xbox 360 controller is indeed connected to my computer. Microsoft says on their website that drivers for the 360 controller are automatically downloaded for Windows 10 (which I am running). The controller works perfectly fine for other games on Steam as well.

This may sound like one of those stupid questions but....

You assigned all the buttons in controls, correct? This option is in "Options" in-game

Correct. The submenu in the options menu that lets you reassign keys for each action (movement, reloading, shooting) does not recognize my controller, only my keyboard.

I see. I wonder why that is. Xbox 360 controller should work perfectly fine with this game, even though I've never tried it, if you search the forums you'll see that a bunch of people have and it's working fine for them.
I'm not sure how to help, except telling you to maybe do a computer restart or/and unplug your controller and replug. sorry :/

Hey solved.. click the shift and tab on PC then go to steam menu to calibrate your controler it's an option on the menu

I gave up. I followed everything. I truly hate using the keypad. ♥♥♥♥ this game
