How can my friend join my 1v1 game?

Hi, my friend and I want to make a 1v1 game and I've set the game up and everything, password and all. The only problem is he doesn't know where to go to type in my details to join my game. Multiplayer>Join only shows everyone else's active sessions.

tell him the name of your server and get him to type it on the search function ingame at the top.
