PS4 Controller Configuration Problems HELP
Okay, I will admit that I am a total noob wen it comes to mapping controls and such. I have never used Big Picture Mode-- with this being said, I want to play Battlefront 2 the way I remember playing it on Playstation 2.

I want to do this with a PS4 controller and so I entered into Big Picture Mode and got my controller ready. The problem is that I downloaded someon elses configuration for my controller and it is absolutely awful. I am not sure if I can turn it back to default settings either. I tried doing it myself with the system steam has provided but i just don't know what I'm doing.

I was just going to go into the game and manually set the controller mapping myself, but I cant since i have a downladed controller configuration. please help me lol

I've not tried yet, but your best bet is building a command set by yourself. Check the command list in the options menu of the game and, one-by-one, decide which command you want to assign to each key on your dualshock, be that a key originally on the keyboard or mouse. Do that while in a game (maybe one with only a bunch of bots per team and a lot of of reinforcements so you have all the time you want) to try out each command once you've assigned it.

You could try giving the DS4 DirectInput keys and then setting the game to read those inputs like a controller from the old days, but in my opinion emulating keyboard and mouse inputs using Big Picture built-in system will be faster and more malleable (you can make everything work if you've enough time, I have a working setup for playing Age of Empires 2 with a controller when I'm bored).
This game is also a little different default-keys wise compared to other shooters (zoom key being z for example), so I don't think the default configurations Steam offer will help. I have no idea if Battlefront 2 works with XInput (360 controllers and other modern ones) either, but I guess not given its age.

If I'm going to build a command set then I'm going to need a very relable and in depth tutorial because frankly, I just am not skilled enough to do it. I guess I will have to do it though since it will only read the stupid command set I dowloaded...

Is there a link to a video I can watch about building command sets?

Also, I have heard of, but am unfamiliar with DS4 DirectInput, so I would rather not go that route.
