Servers Not Working
Ok so like most I literally was overwhelmed with happiness when I saw that they had brought the servers back because this game was literally the ♥♥♥♥ back in the day and it still is.

For some odd reason however everytime I try and join a multiplayer server with 10 or 20 or even 40 people it just says 'Busy' and after about 10 or thirty seconds it does not join and i cant join any other server.

Could somebody please help me out with this?

If this helps at all some code keeps popping up on launch and its for the multiplayer but i dont know where to put it.

They did not bring the servers back.

They made the game connect people through peer to peer connections, and it sucks, an it broke the mods that people used to connect to fan-made servers.

Also those who can connect have bad lag and now some people found out how to overrun servers with requests to shut them and are going around spoiling the fun for the few lucky people who can connect and play.

So servers ARE NOT back?

No server is back. Internet multiplayer is back, but you connect to other player games directly, not through servers.

How can I/could I connect to someones servers?

They host the game on their computer and game makes you connect to their computer. It doesn't go through a dedicated server made to hold the sessions.

Enable compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2 and it should work online.

no dedicated servers. when you finally do join a server, its going to be players slamming off of walls in violent fits of lag constantly teamkilling. yeah they consider this a multiplayer launch lol im glad GoG doesnt have any bigger titles in their hands, would be seeing the same disaster on a bigger scale.

they tricked thousands of players into believing this was a proper multiplayer relaunch. hell the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ server browser even work. it constantly breaks and requires a restart, you'll have to do that about 10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times or more just to get into a server and be greeted by violent lag causing teamkills, even if theres only 6 other players on the "server"

Library > Battlefront 2 > Properties > Game Data > right click BattlefrontII exe (application), click "Compatibility" or "troubleshoot compatibility" and click the troubleshoot options to get you to the choices of Windows service packs to choose from. Choose Windows XP, it may be Service Pack 2 or 3. Though, this fix may not necessarily work. In my experience, you also have to create a GameSpy account in the game.

What does level got to be? Absolutely everything he said is true.

It happens whenever I try to see if multiplayer is finally working.

Even when a friend made a password protected server with only the two of us it did lag like ♥♥♥♥.

This is all because they didn't bring back *servers*, they brought back multiplayer. They didn't lie to us, I think many people misunderstood. They brought back the ability to make multiplayer games, BUT the match is hosted directly on the host's computer, not through servers. That's why it's often laggy. Disney did troll us a little, but hey, we have multiplayer again. I believe there are some people who are working to create dedicated servers though.

They did not bring back the abiity to make multiplayer games if the multiplayer games do not work. The ten min I could stay with my friend I couldn't do a thing because everything kept teleporting around.

There were already dedicated servers for more than five years, made by people who actually wanted to keep the community alive and play together onlyne, and this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ update ♥♥♥♥♥♥ their ability to connect to those servers.

Not good - actually really bad - by any possible metric.
