Can you play this game with a Ps4 controller? Im having troubles getting it to work

make sure you have it connected before you start the game and that you assign each button in control settings

Don't go that far until you know your controller mappings aren't working with your computer. If there are PS4 controller drivers (never looked it up on google myself), get those before you try to map the buttons. As Jean said, have the controller inserted before starting up the game, go to options, and select controls. You will have to click on each entry to assign a button to an action (such as fire or switch weapon) and you will need to set up the mapping for all five control tabs (Infantry, Vehicles, Star Fighter, Jedi, and Turret).

there are driver utilities that will let it run as a blutooth device, unfortunately, most of them make it so that your dongle only works with that controller. Not really worth it if you ask me. Joy2Key will natively detect ps4 controller inputs and doesn't need any special drivers. Not really sure why you would refer to it as going "that far," as it has drastically less impact than installing drivers and essentially bricking hardware.
