Instant action
Whenever I try to start an instant action game, I select my map, gamemode,etc. and then click launch, but nothing happens. Do I need to complete the campaign first? Is there something else I need to do? Please help, and thanks in advance.

Does it crash? If so you need to enable stereo mix.

It doesn't crash, it just doesn't start the game. I click launch and nothing happens, but I'm still able to play the campaign or galactic conquest.

Try to verify game cache. Changes are, you could be missing some files.
I'm not entirely sure why you're not able to play, but you should definitely try verifying game cache.

Okay, It turns out it wasn't anything wrong with the game, I just didn't understand how the game worked. I wasn't adding the map I selected to the playlist on the left of the screen. I thought that was for mods or something. Sorry for wasting your time, and thanks anyway.

You have to actually add the game to the playlist.
