Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (Classic, 2005)

Can't launch disc
I bought this game on disc for pc and am unsure why I can't play it on this awesome windows 10 laptop. I've had thoughts on why it won't run, yet I need someone knowledgable to help clarify the issue.
Edit:
When I put the disc in it brings up the windowed menu to install
(I'm unsure if it actually installs)
After installing it gives me the option to play.
I click that and it gives the starship sound
Then nothing. I don't understand..

Is it the disc? Do I need a patch to play it on windows 10 off of my disc?
I can play it on my Windows XP machine just fine
Yet it won't seem to launch on this laptop.
It acts like its lanching then nothing happens.
Any suggestions?

I see. Not quite sure why it won't run on your laptop. Did you try to check Lucasarts folder to see if there's anything there?
The path to it should be
C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II
Once you find it, go to GameData and the BattlefrontII.exe should be there. Click on it to see if it launches.

It states I may have audio trouble or crashes while running on Windows Vista.
(Windows 10) The same issue can occur if the "Stereo Mix" device is not enabled on the Recording Tab of "Sound" Windows Control Panel applet. Then it gives me a link to the documentation. I wish I could post a screenshot for you to see.

Oooh I found it.
DVD RW DRIVE (E:)
Go to
E:\GameData
Then find (the application)
SetupBF2
Then follow the setup process and I should be fine.
I'll give you an update how that goes.
