Gameranger Not Responding

So I was planning on playing this, but Gameranger won't respond when I try to connect. I reinstalled 3 or 4 times and I still get the same error. Firewall is off, and I'm not aware of any antivirus on this computer. Also, if I posted this on the wrong place, you can inform me, I'll take this down.

Do you have adobe flash installed? Try reinstalling that instead

Wow, turns out I didn't have flash installed. Huh. Well, I did install it and it still doesn't work.

Try using SWBFSpy and see if that has the same issue?

The .exe for the installer looks shady as all hell. My antivirus(I got one since then) is going crazy. Not really sure I should download.

You can make it yourself using a simple hex editor

you just replace the BattlefrontII file with the SWBFSpy one, works fine, neither me or any of my friends have had problems

Hey ! I revolse this problem, my Game Ranger stuck on "Not Responding" Ok - Proxies - Exit. I try fix and remove GameRanger Prefs and problem changes by moment but stay. And i going on https://www.gameranger.com/forum and popup say "Lauch GameRanger" my GameRanger lauch and say Create or Use exeting account. I choose exiting but my password is false and Logging stuck loading bar. Just kill process GameRanger go https://www.gameranger.com/forum and do create new account or connect existing account. If Loading Bar stuck kill process :D

This is a really old post.

Also, the update for Steam/GoG which brought back the multiplayer absolutely broke GR.

For people who don't have the disc version or didn't back up their game, there is only one way to play through GR.

Thanks for the reply but it's been like 10 months and I fixed the problem. My antivirus was being intrusive and blocking Gameranger from using the internet.
