How to play in LAN mode using Hamachi?
Does anyone know how to play this game with friends using Hamachi in LAN? Me and my friends have tried just about everything, to no avail. We can all host our own servers, but noone can see them while in the Multiplayer menu. I've checked other discussions about this but haven't found a solution. Also, I would prefer to not get Game Ranger or any other third party program, Hamachi is good enough for me (it works in all my other games).

Normally I would agree with you on not using thrid party programs, but in this case Game Ranger works great, all you do is register an account like anything else these days, host your desired game, and onc eeveryone is in you start it and it will start the game automatically and everyone will join in.

So there isn't a way to make Battlefront II work using Hamachi then? I would prefer not to use Game Ranger, however I may have no choice.

Try looking at old forum posts. I recall seeing some about Hamachi. just search for Hamachi.

Gamespy went down, so you'll have to use gameranger or gamefaqs

I just did that, the only answers I've read were "get game ranger", get "swbf spy", etc. I'm now assuming that Hamachi simply doesn't want to work with Battlefront 2.

You don't need any third-party software to play on a LAN server.

How would me and my friends connect then? None of us live near each other so we can't have a lan party.
If LAN doesn't work for you, you should really give SWBFSpy a try

It works exactly like old GameSpy did and you don't need to download a program. There are 3 different ways to get this multiplayer to work
All of which are listed on my guide (second one)
For the download exe tutorial, you can check the first one

O my bad, I thought this was for local play. I guess the term "LAN" in this case just means being able to play with friends no matter the distance or location.
