CD Key not Authorized Error

After playing the game for some time, out of nowhere I continued to get the same error. When I try to connect to a server through gameranger, I get a cd key error nearly ever single time. I've updated my key in the install folder and checked my registry, but nothing seems to fix the issue. Any ideas on how to help me?

go here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\Install

click CDKEY.EXE

go to your Library on Steam > SWBF2 > look for CD Key

type that CD KEY on the CDKEY.EXE

if that does not solve your problem, change your CD KEY to another one.

And if any of you Steam moderators are here, keep in mind those CDKeys are useless through the "ADD A GAME..." feature. No piracy here :)

Yes I understand. I purchased the game through steam but for some reason my key bugs out.
