Game Ranger: Please Wait Until Steam Has Finished Launching

I used Game Ranger in the past, but only played a few rounds of SWBF2. Recently I've wanted to play online again, but when I click a room or Host, Game Ranger says "Please wait until Steam has finished launching." but never launches. I researched the problem, but have found no solution. I've restarted my computer, and even uninstalled Game Ranger and reinstalled it. It's not just Battlefront II though, as when I tried to load up a Terraria room or a Borderlands 2 room, but got the same message. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Not that I'm any kind of authority on these kind of issues, but do you actually have Steam logged in and running before you try to join a game through GameRanger? Don't know for sure whether that would affect it or not, but worth a shot

I'm just gonna say it now: Gameranger is TRASH. Every server lags like crazy.

Not in my experience, i get decent ping on most dedicated servers... some of the ones people host from their personal PC's kind of suck. check to make sure you are connected to a server in your region and see if its dedicated or not.

Yes, I know about SWBFSpy (And have it installed), I'd just rather play with 32 people instead of one person. (And yes, I'm logged into Steam)

Did you go to Options > internet and set the bandwidth to max and the other two options to yes?
You'll see more servers that way

Yes, I did both of those things, yet I only find a few servers with 0 people.

Have you tried HarrisonFog's server for Battlefront Remastered? It usually has a bunch of people on it.

Voici une solution qui a fonctionné pour moi face au problème "Please wait until Steam has finished launching".

- Rendez-vous dans le dossier du jeu que vous voulez lancer puis copier le luncher de l'application.

- Collez ce luncher sur votre bureau.

- Rendez-vous dans gameranger, puis dans Edit et Options.

- Cherchez votre jeu dans la liste puis cliquez sur Browse et changez le path d'origine en sélectionnant le luncher que vous avez copié sur votre bureau.

- Vous pouvez maintenant jouer au jeu.
